This is one of those pieces that reminds people why they fell in love with good writing. Ordinary moment, extraordinary reflection. You captured that perfectly. 🖤

Eric, your wring is fine, and the image is to die for...where did you find it? Very much enjoyed the ode to leather part and it reminds me of visiting your log home...how I loved the living room decor. I think there was an old chair with a leather seat...and a telescope nearby. Funny, I can see that room right now in my mind.

Thank you, Ursula. Yes, that log home was wonderful… and your memory remarkable… that was 30+ years ago! The leather chair is gone, but I still have the binoculars from a WWII Japanese battleship.

The image was generated by AI with prompts from my project. This one was more difficult than others in that I wanted specific car, etc. but it captured the mood I was after.

Good to hear from you.

I’m trying to learn how to create those images. Generating the prompts has not been easy. Perhaps my 85 years get in the way.

Enjoyed your observation about cleaning. I think I was like that. Nowadays I’m inclined to say good enough. OTOH perhaps doing a mindless activity is like meditation. As my phone receives more texts because I once made a donation I’ve learned to ignore them.

Let ChatGPT generate the prompts. then tweak. I'm not so good at ignoring, maybe addicted to connection. As with other addictions, I learned I can abstain but not moderate. It's just better if I turn it off.

Turn it off. Finding the same problem. I tweak and watch more precious time evaporate. Now I worry how much energy was used in the process.

Take the pieces you wrote, copy and paste into ChatGPT, and ask it to create image prompts for your piece, then upload to Dalle to generate them (a feature on ChatGPT), you can edit afterwards by selecting the image and clicking on the paint brush in top right hand corner, just type your changes/edits once you clicked on the image and click the 'select' on top right hand corner. You can ask ChatGPT to make your pieces more 'epic' 'wild' 'sarcastic', whatever fits you but it's the easiest way to prompt is to ask ChatGPT to do it first. You also learn from patterns what words/keywords are best to use when generating images with Dalle.

Thanks for the tip. I admit I’m a novice. Playing around using other tools to help may get me better.
