I see the interests of three people are involved - the father, mother-to-be, and potential child. The law may be needed to protect those interests, thus the need for a legislative remedy. Various places may arrive at different conclusions regarding the adjudication of those interests. I might hope that once the issue is less of a political wedge to be used to inflame, the people will converge on a reasonable accommodation of those interests.

Perhaps once we get past the screaming and misplaced anger, we can also see what can be done to improve prospects for mothers-to-be and while we are at it, improve the foster care system. Adoptions are not as easy as they should be, nor are fosters, likely because of some rare abuses.

First of all, I don't believe in religion, Thats just Man controlling Man using people's faith to do so, God is about God, (I iam, that I am), religion has nothing to do with God,

God has a very clear stance on abortion, We lost that all choices we make are either Black or white, Bad or good, We have become a people of gray, No where in any writings, Bible Tora,Koran , Greek Latin etc . Do I find gray, We created gray to suite our own desires, and needs Also for Man to Control Man

As hard as this issue is for me , I stand with God,

Best to Ya!

I like your take. There is no easy answer to abortion; if there were, we would have it. The question of whether it is within the purview of the federal government is easier. It is not.
