The reversals of old politics seems quite stunning. As if we got tired of the old standbys of belief and swapped with our opponents. So not the erstwhile liberals are repressive and the erstwhile conservatives became anti-war. OTOH, perhaps any ideology once pushed too far close the belief circle.
What could go wrong with tampons in the boy's bathrooms? Aside from the vandalism, we will witness new creative uses of these products.
Accusing your opponent of doing what you are doing has become a classic. Now that my policies are failing, I'll use yours, claim them as mine and I'll remain in charge. Not that either side at the edges has much truth.
